This series has two seasons, 1st season has 10 episodes and the second season has 9 episodes. Each episode is 34-73 minutes long, this series available in Hindi, English on Netflix. The series has bad words, brutal incident representation which able to disturb kids' minds. So I recommended people above 16+ should watch this series and others should avoid it! 1st season continues with 2nd season. So I recommend watching 1st season before watching 2nd season.
The series starts with Jonathan Groff as Holden Ford a dedicated crime investigator. Who is interested to explore more about serial killings. Holden Ford meets Holt McCallany as Bill Tench. Holden and Bill have the same opinion about exploring more about serial killings and stop crimes. These two-man along with Anna Torv as Wendy Carr make a team that interviews the top American serial killers and understands the mentality of these serial killers. They use this interview and study to solve cases. Holden Ford is very dedicated and with exploring his research he makes many mistakes. Bill's character is more stable and social who is not agree with Ford but he supports Ford's opinion. These two unstable characters work together to understand and stop crimes. In between all these interviews, Bill and Ford get several serial killing cases that they try to solve. The series in the background also shows Bill and Ford's personal life issues and updates.
The series has a very nice character presentation. Each character has unique identity which makes us connect with them. 1st season is very well made but the second season feels has a slow phase and boring. All the cases which they solving are very brutal and feel really uncomfortable at some point. The Series has some criminal cases like a small girl kidnapping, rape, murder, and a man killing his own mother. This type of case makes us feels really uncomfortable. If you are a sweet-hearted person then you should avoid this series. The series is based on real incidents which happened in 1995 so you not able to watch all cases are solved. Throughout the series, I was expecting that some criminal cases should be solved and criminals should be revealed. But still, the series skip many cases like documentaries and our questions still remained unanswered. The series mixes several cases like at one moment they taking an interview, then after they solving one case, then after they solving another case. Which really confuse us and we lost interest. In the series, they presented characters very nicely and tried to show them realistic.
Two lead actors Jonathan Groff, Holt McCallany did good acting and they are suitable for their roles. Another character Anna Torv played a lesbian investigator role and she did good work. This series also shows human color difference politics and LGBTQ issues in the 19s. The serial killers showed in this series are really amazing. The series shows different shades of this serial killer in between interviews. I am very much impressed with Cameron Britton who played Ed Kemper. Cameron Britton looks impressive in his role and he was perfectly suitable for the role.
The series has slow phase and not solve cases like usual crime series. This series is more like domuntry instead of crime solving series. Overall I think you must watch this series if you are lover of crime thriller. But series will not going to answer all the your questions and several cases will remain unsoved/unanswered till end.
